Areas of Practice
Heather M. Mitchell is lead paralegal at Jardine, Logan & O’Brien, P.L.L.P. She obtained her Associates Degree from the Chippewa Valley Technical College in 1997. Ms. Mitchell joined the firm in 2002. Ms. Mitchell practices in all areas of civil litigation, including:
- Construction Law
- General Liability
- Workers’ Compensation
- Motor Vehicle Liability
Specifically, Ms. Mitchell drafts and coordinates discovery, conducts witness interviews and investigation, prepares analysis to be used in preparing for and at depositions and trials, drafts mediation statements and IME letters, and assists attorneys in preparing for depositions and trial.
Additionally, as lead paralegal, Ms. Mitchell has the responsibility of assisting in the assessment of workflow and work assignments for the paralegal team, recruiting, training and mentoring new paralegals, implementing policies and procedures within the paralegal team, and assessing and managing the needs of the paralegals and the supervising attorneys.
About
Prior to working at Jardine, Logan & O’Brien, P.L.L.P, Ms. Mitchell worked for the Minnesota District Court for 4 years and worked in other law offices in the metro area, where she obtained additional experience in the areas of asbestos litigation, family law, and bankruptcy.
