About
Jake grew up in Anoka County, and he has lived in Minnesota his whole life. Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Jake represented hundreds of clients in U.S. District of Minnesota Bankruptcy Court, and his litigation victories include a published opinion overruling the bankruptcy trustee to allow for Minnesota’s earnings exemption statute to protect earnings possessed in the form of cash. In 2022 and 2023, Jake was selected to Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars list for Civil Litigation: Defense.
Jake received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2013, and he developed a results-oriented mentality working in business-to-business sales prior to enrolling in law school. Jake received his Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in 2018. In his free time, Jake enjoys rock climbing, travel, and taking walks with his dog “Miley.”
